Brooke Barker, Graduate Student in CMHC Supervised by Marie Luna, LPC-S
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Texas Tech University, and I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults from all walks of life. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and genuinely valued. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth, and I aim to foster an environment where individuals feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
My approach to counseling is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques. Through CBT, I support clients in identifying and reframing unhelpful thought patterns, building emotional awareness, and developing practical coping strategies. I also incorporate Solution-Focused approaches to help clients recognize their strengths, clarify their goals, and take small, intentional steps toward meaningful and lasting change.
I have a strong interest in supporting individuals managing anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Whether you are navigating stress, changes in relationships, academic or career pressures, or personal challenges, I work alongside you to build resilience, increase confidence, and develop tools that support your overall well-being. My goal is to help you feel more empowered in your daily life while creating sustainable growth that aligns with who you are and who you want to become.
